Rumour has it that the film adaptation of Life of Pi will be shot in 3D. The screenplay is done and director Ang Lee is likely to direct, with a release in 2012.

Life of Pi is listed as the biggest ever Booker-winning seller in a Bookseller piece about the sales bounce since the longlist announcement was made last week.

The new novel, as yet untitled, was snapped up for a reported $3m (£1.8m) in the US following a heated auction, with Canongate landing UK rights last week.
